Logan, in the movie Logan, is an aging and ailing James Howlett, more famously known as Wolverine. His healing factor, once remarkably potent, has deteriorated, leaving him scarred and in constant pain.
He is living a secluded life as a chauffeur in 2029, caring for an equally ill Professor Charles Xavier near the US-Mexico border. His physical capabilities are diminished, and he relies on alcohol to cope with the chronic discomfort.
His first appearance is in the film, Logan which premiered in 2017. The plot focuses on his struggle to protect a young mutant, Laura, while grappling with his own mortality and the loss of hope for the future of mutants.
